****FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE****
Rhode Island mc, Freddie Black, has released his highly anticipated album “The Black Tape”. Longtime collaborator, SpliftOut, handles the heavy lifting on production. The pair recorded the album at the world renowned D.I.T.C. Studios in NYC. The album is full of soulful, hard hitting backdrops and may be the first to have had all of the records cleared through the sampling service, Tracklib.
The Black Tape is a fast yet compelling ride through Freddie’s life set to unparalleled theme music (every good super hero needs some). The tape is a follow up to the one off singles the pair released throughout the early parts of 2018 including the bangers “4Give ft Phokus” & “3 Degrees”.
Ever since SpliftOut’s production standout’s on the self titled “Everybody Luv Black” album in 2014, there was no doubt he and Freddie would join forces again to create. The release of “The Black Tape” on September 9 2018 makes that point proof positive. If boom bap, reality rap mixed with a heavenly ambience is your thing then this album deserves a download/stream at the very least. You can find the album at smarturl.it/FreddieBlackTBT
“Freddie Black & B Luv come off as very respectable figures, a far cry from the fake imagery we’re usually presented with in the mainstream game. They are remarkably more mature and conscious than many of their contemporaries while the music is crisp and very enjoyable.” Robbie Tee – Jamsphere
“if you’re starving for that real Hip-Hop you’ll want to head over to iTunes and cop this jawn today. Not tomorrow, but today. Right this second! It’ll be one of the best investment that you’ve made in music in a while.”
“the new album from tag-team lyricists Freddie Black and B Luv, Everybody Luv Black, is a testament to the quality craftsmanship booming from Aquidneck Island. Black and B Luv just dropped one of the year’s best hip-hop albums. In the words of Freddie Black on the leadoff banger “Shut ’Em Down”: “If you didn’t know before, now you know it now.”
